Important Update: I Learn Something New Every Day

Newsflash Monday November 7, 2005 Boca Raton, Florida, USA: You can, in fact, break your ass.

Phone conversation 9:30 am:

"Doctor's office, please hold." Naturally. Three minutes later "Doctor's office, can I help you?"

"Um, I am a patient of Dr. C's. Can I talk to a nurse?"

"He is in with a patient at the moment. Is there something I can help you with?"

"Um, I don't know if you have the answer to this, but can a person break their ass?"

"Huh?"

"You know, like say if she had been walking down a dark stairwell and fell right on her ass, could she break it?"

"Definitely. You need to go to the emergency room. You don't want it to fuse back together incorrectly. Also, if there is a lot of swelling, it can put pressure on the nerves in your legs. You need to go to the hospital and get an x-ray right now."

"Um, okay, thanks."

I am now debating whether the pain medicine is worth the humiliation. I don't think I want some stranger poking around my hiney even if it is broken. Oh, the embarrassment. For crying out loud.
