Renegade Ipods-Urban Myth?
I have heard the stories like most of us have. To tell you the truth, until today, I thought they were just silly. Renegade Ipods who lived in underground tunnels refusing to download. Just stupid, right? Until today, I thought it was another stupid urban myth. But today something happened that totally changed my mind. Let me explain...
My friend Marco has an Ipod mini. He had his in his car and I fell in love with it. I told him I NEEDED one, naturally. So, my best friend in Florida, Marco, decided that an Ipod Nano would be a great Christmas gift. He couldn't have been more on target with the great gift idea, for sure. Well, the whole things started out innocently enough. He ordered it online because he is working on a project in the Bahamas and can't go shopping like the rest of us. The renegade Nano arrived at his company's Ft. Lauderdale office on Monday. That damn Nano boarded a plane on Ft. Lauderdale headed for the Bahamas the same day. Arggghhhh. Then when it arrived, Marco promptly put the cute little thing back on the plane to the states. So Monday evening I drove from Boca to Ft. Lauderdale Airport to retreive the little bugger from the airline counter. See, these guys make so many flights back and forth that they charter a number of flights each week with a small airline. Well, before I could get to the counter, that slippery Nano jumped into a box that was on it's way back to the mainland office. An office that, naturally, I don't have access to. Luckily it arrived yesterday and I know where it is right now. It is not with me. Me. Mine. Want. Now. Waahhhh!!!! I had better take extra special care with this little Nano. I surely won't be surprised if it disappears.....oh, it will be here tomorrow via FedEx. I have a tracking number. And I know how to use it.....
